Santa Clarita, CA – Kevin D. Korenthal, candidate for Castaic Lake Water Agency (CLWA) Board of Directors today announced that he has received the endorsement of the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association Political Action Committee. The Association is among the state’s most prominent, non-partisan public policy organizations with 200,000 members throughout California. Since 1978, following the passage of Proposition 13, HJTA has consistently championed lower taxes, efficient government and the right of citizens to vote on taxes and fees.

“I am honored to receive the endorsement of California’s most trusted taxpayer advocacy organization, the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association,” Korenthal said. “We share a strong commitment to the efficient use of public funds to protect California’s most precious natural resource now and in the future. The Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association PAC endorsement reinforces my standing as the candidate ratepayers can trust to protect their interests.”

"Kevin Korenthal has earned the endorsement of the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association PAC through his long term commitment to putting the needs of California taxpayers first," HJTA President Jon Coupal said. "We trust that he will protect public funds and ensure that operations of the Castaic Lake Water Agency are efficient and effective. Never before has water been such an important issue for Californians, and Kevin has the 'right stuff' to fight for sound public policies that can help solve California's water challenges and protect taxpayers."

Mr. Korenthal’s candidacy is focused on three key issues: rates, quality and reliability. Additionally, he has testified before the CLWA Board of Directors that the chloride levels could be better reduced by finally building a water conveyance system in the Delta that does not draw salty sea-water and agricultural runoff into the water that eventually arrives in Santa Clarita. Mr. Korenthal is committed to helping advocate for a statewide solution to California’s water crisis to reduce CLWA’s dependence on questionable chemical additives (such as Chloramines) to disinfect the water Santa Clarita receives from the State Water Project.

Mr. Korenthal is challenging CLWA Division One Director Ed Colley as he runs for a 3rd term on the board. More information is available at www.Korenthal.com.

There is now a sign of mine in the window at Republican Headquarters.

I went up to the Republican Office near Dick's Sporting Goods and was unhappy not to see your sign in their windo but a person running against you. In as much as only Republicans who are sure to vote are going in and out of that office, it is important to have a sign in that window as soon as possible. I have been handing out your flier with Doug Hammonds. In my humble opinion, your sign say too much and could confuse folks. Elect Korenthal/ Water Board The "Cataic Lake Water Agency Division one could be confusing to many, They know when to Vote. If you must use a quote use a supporting quote. The Email address is a must as your Web Sight is right on and I would bet my life was not done by the same company or person who did your Web Sight. I have a feeling that the lady running the oiffice is the person running against you is his long lost realitive or she would have been calling you for a sign.
